First Florida Credit Union CD Rates

First Florida Credit Union is offering a half decent CD at 3.50% for a 5-Month CD, and 3.40% for a 13 month bank CD. These rates are good as of 1/29/2009, but may not last as once again the Fed rates are so low that banks have no reason to offer good rates if they have access to almost interest free borrowing.

Banks like First Florida Credit Union will always be looking at getting new members, and so for that reason checking and savings account deals will be plentiful. One of those bank deals is for new members opening checking accounts at First Florida is a bonus of $25, and a free box of checks. One of the requirements for this is to have direct deposit.

Of course being a Credit Union there are membership restrictions. You must live in one of the following counties to be eligible. Nassau, Baker, Clay, Broward, Duval, Flagler, Leon, Orange, Hillsborough, Miami-Dade, Seminole or St. Johns.
