Lock In Your CD Rates Quick

CD rates have been dropping if you haven’t already locked in a rate at 4% or higher then you may never lock anything in. It’s bad enough that the economy is going downhill, but its also bad that the housing market is aving a direct impact on what banks can offer a CD rate to you for.

Whats the best investment then? Well as long as you are locking in your rate early you should be ok. Remember this is for the long haul type of investment. Don’t look at the 30 day cd rates. Start looking at the 5 year and 10 year CD rates, and put a good chunk of cash into that so you can have a guaranteed locked in amount.

It looks like there will be a meeting today between the Feds, and they will be slashing if they have to out of desperation for the housing market. that drops on banks, and then they have to do some cutting themselves. So beware and keep in mind all of this.
