Citibank 3.50% Savings Account Special

Citibank has raised the bar with their highest yield on the Ultimate Savings Account. The rate has gone up to 3.50% APY. At the same time there’s more to talk about with Citibank raising their yield on the 6-month CD to 4.00% APY.

The great thing about the Ultimate Savings Account is that it does not require a checking account and also has no monthly maintenance fees. Some of the other savings accounts require more, but this is a standalone account which is nice if you don’t already have a checking account with Citibank, or don’t desire to get one.

The increase in the Ultimate Money Account yield is also a good deal. It is now 3.00% APY, and should remain there for some time.

Also a side note is the fact that Citibank has a $100 checking bonus, if you plan on investing a smaller portion of money. There are some downsides of Citibank, and it should be taken into consideration that if you do not read the fine print on some of these bank deals, that you could incur fees.
